Internet browser security: On April 21, 2011 Chrome is a loser
According to the NIST.GOV, as of 4/21/2011, the security bugs in browsers for the past three months is bad for Chrome. Wow who would have thought that Chrome would turn out to be so bad at security, seriously bad. Plus chrome’s performance scores over IE9 is worse as well, but that isn’t the purpose of this blog.
Here are the number from NIST.GOV, with the search string used just click on the browser name, if you check on days after 4/21/2011 the number will vary:

- Chrome: 90 vulnerabilities
- Mozilla 21 vulnerabilities,
- All Versions Internet Explorer: 15 vulnerabilities
- Safari: 16 vulnerabilities
- Firefox 14 vulnerabilities
Of course this blog isn’t a replacement for a reliable security analyst briefing you, but rather I am simply presenting the raw numbers for the mainstream browsers.
