Linux Integration Services 3.5 Release Improves Windows and Linux Interoperability

Last week, Microsoft released Linux Integration Services (LIS) version 3.5, another significant milestone in our ongoing commitment to provide great support for open source software on Microsoft virtualization platforms.

LIS 3.5 expands Linux distribution support to include Red Hat Enterprise Linux/CentOS 5.5 and 5.6, which are older releases that many Linux users are still running. It also adds much coveted features such as dynamic memory and live virtual machine backup to older Red Hat Enterprise Linux/CentOS releases.

Customers can provide feedback on this release in through the LIS for Microsoft Hyper-V forum. As always, we welcome any feedback on how we can continue to improve LIS and interoperability with Windows Server and Microsoft Hyper-V.
