Windows Embedded Standard 7 thin clients used at MMS
the Microsoft Management Summit 2010 took place in Vegas a couple of weeks ago. As in all Microsoft technical conferences, you have a lot of labs running on a lot of machines. The setup for labs this year has significantly changed, and virtualization and Thin clients running Windows Embedded Standard 7 helped a lot optimizing deployment time, maintenance, and energy saving. Setting up the thin client image has been a pretty straight forward process, leveraging the templates available in the Image Configuration Editor tool (part of the Windows Embedded Standard toolkit. Note that one of the main features Windows Embedded Standard 7 brings to the thin client scenario is the support for RDP 7.
