    Hi , I need justification for windows 2000 /2003 servers are running none of the service pack are updated due to application , when we are in the process of deplyoing updates KB958644 ,it couldn't install KB958644 and got unsupported version , please advice. thanks

    Hi Ramnarayanan, The updated for KB958644 on Windows 2000 says that Windows 2000 SP4 is supported.  For Windows 2003 the update will install on a machine with SP1 or SP2.  Take a look at Microsoft's service pack support lifecycle info at http://support.microsoft.com/gp/lifesupsps It will show that support for the initial release version of Windows 2000 and 2003 are no longer supported and you need to be on a supported service pack to get updates.
