Allow me to introduce myself...

I'm a developer on the Visual Studio Code Analysis team. I joined Microsoft in September of 2003 after completing my Computer Engineering degree at McGill University in my home town of Montreal and I've been working on FxCop and managed code analysis ever since.

We've recently revived our team blog and since I've always found blogs.msdn.com to be an invaluable resource, I'm inspired to start this blog of my own. I'll be sharing my thoughts on code analysis, managed code, and other (incidentally) related topics.

  How can i retreive fields types (string,double,DataSet,...) in a FxCop Custom Rule?

  Sergio, you can retrieve the field type by accessing the Type property of a Microsoft.Cci.Field object.
  
  In the future, the FxCop forum (http://forums.microsoft.com/msdn/showforum.aspx?forumid=98&siteid=1) is the best place to ask questions like this.
