Cdiscount goes LIVE with CardSpace
With news headlines like " Apparent Ebay Hacker Posts Credit Card Numbers of Ebay Users " there is renewed interest from a large number of Internet web sites to take proactive steps to improve the security of their sites, rather than just keeping up with the latest attacks. While technologies such as OpenID are becoming popular, they are very open to attack from "Man in the middle" vulnerabilities. What I am starting to see in the industry is a number of companies starting to support the "Identity Meta System" concept using technologies such as CardSpace from Microsoft and solutions from other parties such as Novel to provide better protection for their consumers and the high value elements of their sites.
In the last week there has been two major new sites supporting this. The first was the Singapore Health Service and the second being CDiscount (https://www.cdiscount.com/) which is a French retailing site.
It would be nice for them to use the CardSpace Logo however. Merci.
