No response from IIS server problem

I had deployed a silverlight application in my location machine and tried to access it from another machine. Surprisingly, there was no response sent by server. I tried to go to https://<machinename> , no response, no error nothing. Using fiddler also showed no response. Searching in web also gave no good results. Uninstalled & reinstalled IIS, no luck.

Only after a day, an intuition hit me to check the firewall settings. Simply enabiling www service rule fixed it! In retrospect, it seems like an obvious thing to check, but it was not. I wonder why reinstalling IIS didn't automatically add this firewall rule. Anyway, posting it in case someone finds same problem.
