Mejoras al rendimiento de Project Server 2007 [Parte 2]
Nuestro amigoJuan Pablo Pussacq Laborde nos comparte su artículo:
Mejoras al rendimiento de Project Server 2007 [Parte 2]
This is the second article that lists possible actions to improve the performance of Project Server 2007. In the previous article he listed as primary action index defragmentation of the database, which in principle generated a 28% improvement at the time of publication of a project.
In this second part we will try other actions, which are listed below:
- Elimination of local resources
- Truncation of the transaction log
- Installation of Microsoft Best Practices Analyzer
- Control of CPU and memory
- A complete database maintenance plan execution
- Elimination of unused baselines
- Elimination of unused local calendars
Elimination of local resources
This could be one of the possible causes that affect performance. In the project that we test, we only had 4 local resources. We eliminate them and saw the publication time unchanged.
Anyway, is an action that should be taken into account if we have many local resources, things that in principle doesn't make much sense in a Project Server installation, where resources should be corporate.
