This article is the first of a series of articles on the improvement in the performance of Project Server. This first document describes good practices of the Project Server 2007 database maintenance, which primarily includes:
- The verification of the integrity of the BD
- Defragmenting indexes by reorganizing them or rebuilding them.
- The configuration of the "fill factor"
- Monitoring the size of the database

It includes tests in an environment of these features:
- Project Server 2007 Services Pack 3
- Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 with Services Pack 3
- SQL Server 2005 with Service Pack 4 (important, do not apply this procedure if SQL Server SP2 was not applied )
