Database Diagrams for CRM 3
Announcing the release of the database diagrams for Microsoft CRM 3.0. These Microsoft Office Visio diagrams show the logical database structure for Microsoft CRM 3.0. These diagrams were generated using sample code included in the Microsoft CRM SDK. You can use this sample code to generate a Visio diagram for any set of entities in the system.
The following diagrams are included:
· Crm3.0SFA.vsd, which shows the relationships for the core sales force automation entities: account, contact, lead, and opportunity.
· Crm3.0Activities.vsd, which shows the relationships for all activity entities: e-mail, letter, fax, phone call and task, as well as activity pointer, and queue.
· Crm3.0Org.vsd, which shows the relationships for the following organization entities: organization, business unit, user (system user), territory, team, and license.
· Crm3.0MA.vsd, which shows the relationships for the entities used in marketing automation: opportunity, lead, campaign, list, and activity pointer.
· Crm3.0Security.vsd, which shows the relationships for entities used for security: organization, license, role, privilege, and user (system user).
· Crm3.0SM.vsd, which shows the relationships for the entities used in service management: service, resource, calendar, equipment, appointment, service appointment, and site.
· Crm3.0QOI.vsd, which shows the relationships for quotes, orders and invoices: quote, order (sales order), opportunity, and invoice.
· Crm3.0CaseContract.vsd, which shows the relationships for case management: contract, case (incident), and subject.
· Crm3.0ProductCatalog.vsd, which shows the relationships for the product catalog: product, price level, subject, opportunity product, discount, sales literature, and product price level.
· Crm3.0Answers.vsd, which shows the relationships for the knowledge base: knowledge base article, subject, and sales literature.

I used this during the beta testing and it was pretty cool. The only problems I found with it was that it took forever to run and typically it drew out so many things that you couldn't make out what was what. Seeing how they've broken it up a bit, hopefully it won't be so cluttered anymore and will be a very powerful and useful tool.
