Back once again

I must start by thanking Mark Summerson as the catalyst to start writing my blog again.  I have been thinking about doing it for a while and his recent posts have inspired me to think about what I like about technology and start writing.

First task,  what to write about?.  As a techy at heart,  I want to share my interest in technology.  I could restrict myself to Unified Communications,  but after speaking to a few less technologically blessed friends,  I want to share my experiences, thoughts and tips around technology in general but in bite sized posts, covering what is here already,  what is coming,  what has gone and to try and help people embrace what technology has to offer.  Over the years I have heard the names like ‘techy’ or ‘nerd’ when referring to people who like their technology, this perhaps is my way of help the ‘name callers’ understand and embrace the technology that they sometimes fear.  I might even convert a few people to ‘techyness’ along the way.

Final task,  name for the blog?.  As this is a technology related blog and I wanted to keep these posts short and concise,  I have chosen to restricting myself to 1024 characters per post (a mega byte is 1024 bits).  Hence forth this will be ‘MegaByteSize’.
