Partners: Lync Deep Technical Readiness Recommendations

There is a variety of deep Lync technical training resources available for partners. For individuals starting with limited Lync product knowledge, they should start with the Lync training offered by Microsoft Learning:

· Course 10533A: Deploying, Configuring, and Administering Microsoft Lync Server 2010

· Course 10534A: Planning and Designing a Microsoft Lync Server 2010 Solution

Another option is the Lync Ignite recordings, which are based off the 5-day, 300 level instructor-led training. The recordings cover all workloads (IM/Presence, Conferencing and Voice) and include eighteen presentations. These streaming videos, recorded at the Ignite event, are divided into two parts: Part 1 includes information about topics such as setup and deployment, migration and coexistence, and presence experience, and Part 2 highlights voice applications, voice quality considerations, and more.

Partners should follow up the recordings with the Lync 2010 Ignite Hands-on Labs Online(HOLO) for practice. The HOLO includes ten virtual labs and allows the user to click-through each step in the labs online via a hosted platform.
