WordProcessingML in French + Office XML Transform Depot

I found this site that explains WordProcessingML in French. I love the intro:

"nous allons essayer de démystifier le WordML "

I appreciate the drama, the foreshadowing, and the romance-infused gripping tone: "we will attempt to demystify WordML".

I have three degrees in French literature (no joke), and I adore this language. If you have never read Montaigne's Essays, you must. It's worth learning the language just for that one piece of literature. The same is true for Tristan et Yseut (get the Beroul version, as it is a decent one).

In other matters, it strikes me that we still have not delivered an adequate amount of tools and utilities to bolster our Office XML story. We should deliver a whole series of tools and transforms to let developers create solutions that move data cleanly between Word/Excel/InfoPath/Web/ and so on.

Opening an XML doc created in InfoPath in Word is not enough (you can run transforms to get better formatting). I am thinking of a sort of Office XML Transform Depot where people post XSD's and XSL's for all to use, augment, and so forth.

Rock Thought for the Day: Found this site dedicated to prog rock: https://www.progressiverockbr.com/. If you haven't heard of Rick Wakeman, think King Arthur on Ice, baby!

Rock On
