Cancel Event Does Not Fire in Office Interop
I have a load of IE windows open on my desktop with data I wanted to blog about, so I have several entries ready for today. Here’s number two:
A common problem people have had in their COM Interop applications in .NET is that some events in the wrapped COM lib do not work as expected. For example, a lot of Office object events have a Cancel parameter. But, cancelling in .NET does not work properly.
Fortunately, there is a KB about this:
BUG: Cancel parameter for Office events is ignored in Visual Studio .NET 2003
Second Rock Thought for the Day: I’m listening to Stellastarr’s song, “Sweet Troubled Soul”. A good part of the late eighties/early nineties industroGothPunk music has found home in the hearts of the young again.
Rock On
