Cropping screenshots in OneNote 2010

Omer updated his toy to allow clippings in OneNote to be cropped!

Have you ever clipped something from the web or pasted some image in OneNote and realized that it is not quite right? Word, PowerPoint and even Excel enjoys rich picture formatting features, while OneNote is about quickly capturing information and not much about fine detailed presentation of it. Still it wouldn't hurt to be able to crop an image you just captured to reduce the clutter and unwanted content.

Well, Onetastic now supports a new context menu item for images: Crop. Just right click on an image and select Crop at the bottom and you will be able to cut it the way you want.

Finally when you click Accept, your image on the page will be cropped and replaced. If you need to crop it further, you can keep doing so.

If you want to learn more about other features of Onetastic, read it on the website. If you want to get your hands on the add-in quickly, head to the download page.

Jump on over to his page to get the latest bits!

Questions, comments, concerns and criticisms always welcome, (but send Onetastic questions to Omer Smile)

Was really excited about this until I tried it and found out it doesn't crop printout images. Is there a way to convert printout images to regular images in bulk?

oomatter, supporting printout images required more work, so I released the update to the add-in without it. I may get to it if I find some time to work on it. If you want to be notified of future updates, you can keep Onetastic installed and it will tell you when there is an update available.

This is awesome! This has been killing me in the past - having to jump between OneNote & paint or Word!
