AITP User Group Meeting, Charleston, SC - August 21st, 2008
Just wanted to thank the Association of Information Technology Professionals in Charleston, SC for inviting me down for their monthly meeting.
Also wanted to call out the evenings sponsor: ECPI College of Technology.
I had a great time, and enjoyed a nice Outback steak!!!
This month I did a presentation on Windows Server 2008. I went through the basics about some of the new features in Windows Server 2008.
Talked about the new management tools, Read-Only Domain controller, Core Server Role and NAP - Network Access protection. Had a bunch of questions with this very interactive group!!
If you're an information technology professional and you live in or around Charleston, then you need to join this fun group. They have monthly meetings with a variety of different topics, so there's always something going on.
They also have a golf tournament on October 30th at The Golf Club at Wescott Plantation. Their website says its a 9am shotgun start, which has me wondering what kind of clubs they're using J.
Go to AITP Charleston to find out about future meetings and get signed-up as a new member!!!!

John, it was very nice meeting you at last week's AITP meeting, in Charleston. Your presentation was very interesting and informative. Thank you for your help in getting my presentation started and for the gracious promotions on your blog! If I may ever be of assistance, or if you are in the Charleston area again, please feel free to call. P.S. Already making my plans for London 2012! :)
