Beta 1 Ships...

Okay, okay. Office 12 beta 1 shipped. I’ve procrastinated as long as possible, but now I’ve really got to start sharing about all the amazing stuff we’ve done in Word 12. So, without futher ado I will start posting.

Really. You’ll see stuff soon. I promise. Seriously, I’m not kidding. ;-)

    Yes, some more Word 12 details would be great. Jensen is talking alot about the UI, but we need to know more about the changes to the Word processing functionality.

    A reviewer at WindowsAtoZ reviewed Beta 1 and said:

    "The only really big improvement to Word 12 is the ribbon menu at the top"

    Sounds like a challenge to me!

    Did the Word team do anything for 12? The XL team seems to put up at least three blog postings a week about what they did. Even your own teammate Brian Jones seems to find time to post and he seems to be doing a lot of traveling. I read that your beta has been out for awhile now and you yourself say that you were going to start bloging ALMOST A MONTH AGO! Why are you holding back information about Word. I thought Microsoft was supposed be opening up information.
