Bitten by the bug
Hi! I'm Jeff Beehler, lead program manager on Visual Studio Team System. I am finally taking the plunge into blogging. I've been reading blogs for a while now but only just recently got bitten by the bug...it seems there are a number of blog posts rattling around in my brain that I can't ignore no matter how hard I try. So, we’ll see if this helps clear them out, hopefully making room for others.
A little about me to get started. I coordinate the release activities for all of Team System including betas, CTPs and our internal dogfooding efforts. As a result I’m involved with each of the teams shipping VSTS as well as the Whidbey release team, but most directly with the team building the Team Foundation since this is the integration point for all of Team System. I'm also a buddy for one of our VSTS early adopters so I get to see and hear first hand about how things work (and don’t work) for our customers. It’s great to have a deep engagement with a customer to help maintain perspective. It’s exciting to see the excitement VSTS is generating both within Microsoft as well as throughout the .NET development community. I was on the original Visual C++ 1.0 team so it’s gratifying to be part of the effort to expand Visual Studio beyond ‘just’ writing code.
So, I hope to use this space to discuss many of the things I mentioned above, such as our dogfooding efforts as well as CTPs, working with the Whidbey team and customer adoption.
‘Nuff said…I’m off to get my first real blog post out of my head.

Hey Jeff, welcome to the world of blogging, I was wondering how long it would take you to join the crew.
