Palm Smartphones = no middleware
Following on from today's New York Times article it seems Palm is going all out trying to maximise on the recent RIM outage.

Nice humor but really, is Palm really a player any more? I ditched the Palm OS years ago when ActiveSync came along and allowed me to keep a constant sync of my outlook w/out requiring me to remember to push the "button".Anonymous

The answer to that is a qualified yes. They still make good hardware and the Treo still has a loyal fanbase. Now are Palm OS base device still players? I would say no. But it has been a couple years now that Treo's have had Windows Mobile. All in all Palm is stilla player allbeit a small and slipping player. Ther eis potential for them in hardware.Anonymous
