Vista After Hours

Reading last night - phew what a gig... By the end it was pretty warm in the room sorry about that - the air conditioning people went home at 5.30 - great!  I hope it didn't detract from what we showed you and by the number of questions we got I assume that everyone found it pretty interesting! :-)

You should be getting the electronic feedback forms in your inboxes soon so make sure you let us know if you want to see this kind of format again :-)

The agenda list for what we covered is available here: Vista- After Hours Thoughts and Feedback

Technorati tags: Vista, After Hours, Xbox, Sideshow, Crossfire, Media Center

Hi Guys thanks for your feedback! :-) The X shaped PC is made by a french system builder and they have a website over here: http://www.invasion.fr/  It's not very English friendly but the pictures are very cool in the magazine. Cheers James

Hey Mark Thanks for the link - and great article.  I'm happy that we've been able to show how good Vista is, in terms of ease of use and also the really cool things you can do with it i.e. SideShow, Xbox, Gaming, Media Center. Let me know how you get on with it on you Mac mini :-) Cheers James

Just wanted to say throughly enjoyed the event last night. The demo based approach is a great way to showcase the kind of technology that you are dealing with. Have to agree with you on the air-con issue.... did get a little warm but added to the lively atmosphere :) Cheers! Jay

Hi James, As Jay said, it was a great event - it's not often that I come away from Microsoft buzzing as I was that night - I'm no gamer but I was impressed with the Windows-XBox integration and some of the media stuff was brilliant.  In fact, it was brilliant enough that I've just spent the last few days getting Vista Ultimate and a FreeView USB TV card running on my Mac Mini - definitely a contender for one of the smallest Media Center PCs! Did you find out what the X-shaped Media Center PC was?  That was a mean beast! Mark P.S.  The aircon was broken in that room on Tuesday's Microsoft Management Forum event too... just doesn't seem to be able to cope with the large room format (okay when divided in two).
