Saqib talks developing accessible applications
It seems like an age ago when I wrote the post “I want my desktop to look beautiful, even if I can't see it” where I interviewed Saqib Shaikh about accessibility in Windows Vista whilst soaking in the atmosphere of a small Parisian restaurant.
I bumped into Saqib once again in Redmond a couple of weeks back and he’s currently doing some interesting work for them over there. Looks like he’s also been busy doing some interviews for Scott Hanselman on a podcast he just released. You can download it here and hear what Saqib has to say on the topic of developing software with accessibility in mind.
I love how Scott uses the metaphor of the wheelchair ramp to describe the regulations introduced by government bodies across the world that mandate accessible websites.
