Paul Stringfellow

Communications Manager Gardner Systems Plc.

Paul is the communications manager and a senior solutions architect at Gardner Systems based in Liverpool, Paul’s other roles include business development both with clients and investigating and developing new vendor relationships.

Paul has worked in IT since 1993 since having gained a computing degree from John Moores University.

Paul’s first IT role was with a multinational pharmaceutical firm, working with Windows 3.0 and cutting his teeth on deploying a 500 users local area network, based on new fangled TCP/IP protocols and has never had a problem understanding subnet masks ever since! As part of that roll out Paul also wrote a C++ application to help Windows 3.0 and later 3.1 users to easily map network drives.

Over the last 12 years Paul has worked increasingly with the Microsoft range of solutions gaining his MCSE in the mid 90’s based on NT3.51, which sat proudly alongside his Novell CNE.

Over the last 2 years Paul has worked increasingly with Microsoft around their “Information Worker” technologies and see’s many fantastic opportunities for organisations to greatly enhance their productivity and efficiency with this solution set.

Paul has also been looking closely at the new 2007 offerings and believes these offer some tremendous opportunities for organisations to deploy a more robust and effective infrastructure with a great range of “out of the box” solutions.

With Gardner Systems, Paul also ensures that these solutions are underpinned by the best in breed technologies including server and storage infrastructures working extensively with vendors such as IBM and NetApp to provide the highest quality solutions.

Paul has been married for 10 years to Sarah and has two wonderful kids Ben (9) and Caitlin (5), outside of the joy of being a Dad, Paul is also an avid Liverpool fan and amongst the highlights of that particular past time, he was indeed in Istanbul when they “won it 5 times!”.
