Identity cloud service released–Windows Azure Appfabric Access Control service

Today at MIX 2011 we announced the new version of ACS that we have been referring to as ACS 2.0 for some time. Great to see the service go live enabling developers to easily incorporate public identity providers as well as corporate AD Federation Services into their applications. Customer facing applications have never been so easy to create – focus on building the logic for your application and allow Facebook, Google, Yahoo, Live  or your customers/partners IT department to manage authentication.

Try out the amazing identity training kit referred to in Vittorio's blog below or just browse through all the resources made available for you to learn more and test this cloud service.

Blog post from Vittorio Bertocci with all the details about training resources as well as pointers to applications that have already implemented ACS https://blogs.msdn.com/b/vbertocci/archive/2011/04/11/the-new-acs-ships.aspx

Extend your on premises AD to the cloud and enable partners to access your applications without taking on extra identity management
