Scary video
I knew I'd regret agreeing to this: The guy who runs a new designer-focused website - www.screenedit.com - was visiting Microsoft yesterday and asked if he could record a video interview with me for "just 60 seconds". He asked me my opinion of what makes for good interactive design and the fumbling result is now available for all to see on the website (or http://www.screenedit.com/9982.aspx).
So my question to you is: What would you have answered if someone asked you "What is good interactive design?" and gave you 60 seconds to answer?

That was a good response - though I wouldn't have sent him to his own website if they wanted a good example. My answer would be that good interactive design is something the end user doesn't need teaching to interact with. Something that's intuitive, easy to use but requires the user to think about what to do.Anonymous

I'd cite the Media Center UI in Vista - works really well for me and it takes no learning. Just pick up the remote and go for it.Anonymous

I would also add that a good interactive design should be intuitive and when ever possible 'fun'!Anonymous

I think good design is succinct and wears a nice shirt ;-)
