Support-Warning (LIFECYCLE): Forefront Identity Manager (FIM) mainstream support is ending 10/10/2017

Hello.

Please be aware that the Mainstream Support for Forefront Identity Manager 2010, 2010 R2, R2 SP1 will come to an end on October 10, 2017.

What does this mean to you?

End of Mainstream support is the end of any type of Feature Adds, Solution Adds and/or Bug Fixes outside comes to an end.  In Extended Support, we will address the solution from a "Commercially Reasonable" - "Best Effort" support.  Product escalations and bug fixes will only occur if we locate a security hole within the product.

What should I and my company do?

The recommendation is to begin the design and planning efforts to move your FIM Solution to Microsoft Identity Manager 2016 Service Pack 1.
