So maybe it's not an answer to how we measure the effectiveness of a blog, but if you are a blogger and haven't yet checked out blogshares, you should take a peek. It's not the real world, but it does help you think about the value of your blogging and the effects of linking.

It also let's you know whose links to your blog are most valuable.

    i make billions in one month... with 500$ and my weblog as start.. the system is just to easy, anyone can make lots of money.. so its not fun after a while.
