Collections Management for Microsoft Dynamics® GP transitions back to the original Independent Software Vendor (ISV)
After a successful 12 year licensing relationship, Microsoft is transferring the ongoing sales, maintenance and support of Collections Management back to Professional Advantage, the authors of the software.
Effective June 1, 2013, Collections Management for Microsoft Dynamics GP will no longer be offered by Microsoft and all associated SKUs will be removed from all versions of the Microsoft Dynamics GP Price List. Please note that Collections Management will continue to be offered under the Microsoft Services Provider License Agreement (SPLA) until further notice. Beginning June 1, 2013, new licenses to Collections Management will only be available for purchase via channel partners registered with Professional Advantage.
Errol Schoenfish, Director Product Management, Microsoft Dynamics GP says, “Microsoft continues to see Collections Management as offering important functionality for many Microsoft Dynamics GP users. Professional Advantage is a highly respected member of the ISV community and we are confident about the future of the product and Professional Advantage’s ability to work closely with partners. We have worked hard together on making the transition simple for partners and customers.”
Microsoft Dynamics GP channel partners are requested to register with Professional Advantage to ensure their existing customers are able to obtain new releases, enhancements and support for Collections Management. Brent Hitterdal, General Manager, Professional Advantage says, “We’ve leveraged our experience as both leading partner and vendor and are very focused on offering partners a no cost, hassle-free registration and seamless ongoing operational experience that best enables them to support their customers”.
Microsoft will continue to meet its obligations for Collections Management that it released through the support lifecycle for the applicable version of Microsoft Dynamics GP.
These changes affect Microsoft Dynamics GP customers on Module Based licensing (MBL) and Perpetual Licensing who previously obtained licenses to Collections Management via the Microsoft Dynamics GP price list, and all Microsoft Dynamics GP Advanced Management customers on Business Ready Licensing (BRL). All of these customers with licenses to Collections Management will
continue to receive new releases, enhancements and support by signing up for a maintenance plan with Professional Advantage through their channel partner.
As of this announcement, Professional Advantage will make a new release of Collections Management available June 1, 2013, that is enhanced with new features and functionality including: significant timesaving improvements, utilizing collection plans to automate collection steps; integration with non-Microsoft Dynamics GP invoicing systems; Quick Start setup wizards; and improved reporting. See Professional Advantage’s roadmap for more
details.
