I got a 1.7GHz Pentium M latop that plays Doom 3 quite nicely (the graphics card is a 64MB Mobility Radeon 9600 Pro - not too shabby). Not a tablet PC, mind you, but quite impressive, nonetheless :)
'course Frank's tablet PC doesn't seem to have a 3D card at all, so that's a bit of an onion in the ointment... - Anonymous

Where did you pick it up from ? I have had a little difficulty finding the 1.7 in australia.. - Anonymous

Nice machine, but you skipped the one spec that I'm most interested in in the tablets: the hinge. Does the machine seem like it'll hold together over, say, 2-3 years of daily use?
"32MB VRAM(Shared)"
"Shared VRAM" will always seem like an oxymoron to me. :-) - Anonymous

Dean, what do you mean, no 3D card?
It's a nVIDIA GeForce FX Go5200 (or so that's what Toshiba says is in the m200's).
It's the same video card that's in my Tecra M2.
The Toshiba Australia website only lists the 1.6 as the top model, and most shops i've seen only seem to stock the 1.4 model.
What's interesting though is the Toshiba USA website say they have a 2.0GHz model. A 2GHz model would be very nice :) - Anonymous

While I am in hospital, blogging will be reduced. Moira isn't letting me take my tablet with me....
