My name is Harriet Yin and I joined the Embedded Windows Team as an Software Design Engineer in Test in January 2008. I am currently working on localization related area within the team. It is fun to work on different bits from code pages to fonts and from language package to MUI files. My previous work is developing tests for.Net class libraries including the POS for .Net. Before joining Microsoft, I worked for a couple of software consulting firms and was primarily developing applications in Java, while I also tried to apply Microsoft technologies whenever possible. Among all the IDE’s I used in various projects, I liked Visual Studio and IntelliJ IDEA the most. In my spare time I enjoy traveling and hiking in the greater Seattle area, even on rainy days.
