December 2009 Optional Updates are Available for OEMs

The December 2009 Optional Updates  are now available on the ECE for Windows® Embedded Standard 2009 and/or Microsoft® Windows® XP Embedded with Service Pack 2, Feature Pack 2007, Update Rollup 1.0 and Service Pack 3.

Theupdates include:

  • The syssetup.inf file resource in the First Boot Agent (FBA) component has been modified to remove the line 11,,msiexec.exe,,,"/regserver /q" so the  FBA log correctly displays installation of MSI files.

  • A folder resource has been added to the Netshell component to enable completion of the New Connection Wizard.

  • A custom script has been added to the Accessibility Wizard to add a trailing space to the registry value name "Windows Black " in the registry key "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Control Panel\Cursors\Schemes\Windows Black ". This enables the Regular Black mouse cursor option in the Accessibility Wizard.

  • The SCCM 2007 Client Prerequisites component has had a name change to ConfigMgr 2007 Client Prerequisites to comply with official naming conventions for this feature.
