Install client access licenses by using the telephone

To install client access licenses by using the telephone

Open Terminal Server Licensing.
Verify that the installation method for the Terminal Server license server is set to Telephone by right-clicking the Terminal Server license server for which you want to install client access licenses (CALs), and then clicking Properties. On the Installation Method tab, change the installation method if necessary.
Right-click the Terminal Server license server for which you want to install client access licenses, click Install Licenses to start the Terminal Server CAL Installation Wizard, and then click Next.

The previous steps are not necessary if the Terminal Server CAL Installation Wizard is already started.
Call the Customer Support Center at the number that is displayed on the Obtain client license key pack page of the wizard, and give the representative your Terminal Server license server ID and the required information for the licensing program under which you purchased client licenses. The representative then processes your request to install CALs, and gives you a unique ID for the CAL.
In Type the client access license ID in the boxes below, type the CAL ID provided by the representative, and then click Next.

The client access licenses are installed on your Terminal Server license server.
Click Finish to complete the process.

The Terminal Server license server can now issue licenses to clients that connect to a terminal server.
