To configure the Simple Mail Transfer Protocol service for e-mail relaying

To open Internet Information Services (IIS), click Start, click Run, type inetmgr, and then click OK. If the Internet Information Services (IIS) snap-in does not appear, verify that you have installed IIS.
In the console tree, right-click Default SMTP Virtual Server, and then click Properties.

Click Access, click Authentication, select Integrated Windows Authentication, and then click OK.

Notes

To perform this procedure, you must be a member of the Administrators group on the local computer, or you must have been delegated the appropriate authority. If the computer is joined to a domain, members of the Domain Admins group might be able to perform this procedure. As a security best practice, consider using Run as to perform this procedure.
To open IIS Manager, click Start, click Control Panel, double-click Administrative Tools, and then double-click Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager.
This procedure is necessary only if you are using Active Directory integrated authentication or local Windows accounts authentication, and you want to enable e-mail relaying.
