Configure e-mail clients for e-mail relaying

To configure e-mail clients for e-mail relaying

Click Start, point to All Programs, and then click Outlook Express.
Click Tools, and then click Accounts.
Click the Mail tab, click your POP3 service mail server, and then click Properties.
In Outgoing Mail Server, click My server requires authentication, click Settings, and then select Log on using.
In Account name, type the name of your POP3 mailbox without the domain. For example, if your mailbox is someone@example.com, you would type:

In Password, type the password for your POP3 mailbox, and then click OK.

Notes

This procedure uses Outlook Express as an example. If you are not using Outlook Express, check the documentation for your e-mail client for information about configuring e-mail clients to authenticate to the Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) service.
