IP Firewall Logging Registry Settings (Windows CE 5.0)

Send Feedback

The parameters for the TCP/IP firewall logging are located under the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\Firewall\Logging registry key.

Note   The default registry values vary depending on which Datalog items are included in your OS design. For more information, see Default Registry Settings.

The following table shows the registry values for the Logging registry key. For more information about the firewall logging, see IP Firewall Logging Reference.

Value : type Description
LogBufferSize : DWORD Default setting is 50 KB. This value is the size, in KB, of the buffer in which the firewall stores log entries. The size of the log buffer should be larger if the logging DLL takes a longer time to process log callbacks from the firewall. This allows the firewall to store more log entries before it has to start discarding them. For more information, see IP Firewall Logging Reference.
LoggerDLL : MULTI_SZ There is no default. This value specifies one or more logging DLLs to be called by the firewall to log packets. For more information, see IP Firewall Logging Reference.
LoggingThreadPriority256: REG_DWORD Default setting is 251. The valid range for this value is 0 through 255. This value is the priority of the logging thread. By default, this is the priority of the logging thread.
