Reverse Proxy
A reverse proxy is a proxy server that dedicates any incoming request to a specific server. A reverse proxy can be used to balance the load on a server farm. Typically, reverse proxies are on the server side of the Internet, whereas normal proxies are at the edge of the Internet. A reverse proxy server is also known as a server accelerator.
