Esta característica se quitará en una versión futura de Microsoft SQL Server. Evite utilizar esta característica en nuevos trabajos de desarrollo y tenga previsto modificar las aplicaciones que actualmente la utilizan.

  • object
An expression that evaluates to an object in the Applies To list
  • value
A string that identifies an operating system file or tape device

HRESULT SetPhysicalLocation(SQLDMO_LPCSTR NewValue)

[!NOTA] SQL Distributed Management Objects (SQL-DMO) strings are always returned as OLE BSTR objects. A C/C++ application obtains a reference to the string. The application must release the reference using SysFreeString.

For example, the string "\\Seattle1\Backups\Northwind.bak" specifies a server name, directory, and file name for a backup device. The string \\.\TAPE0 specifies a server and a file device, most likely a tape, as a backup device.
