Speech Add-ins for Internet Explorer Features
The Microsoft Speech Application Platform (Speech Platform) includes add-ins for Internet Explorer, and for Internet Explorer for Windows Mobile-based Pocket PC 2003 (Pocket PC). The Speech Add-in for Microsoft Internet Explorer is available on the Speech Application SDK (SASDK) CD, and the Speech Add-in for Microsoft Pocket Internet Explorer is available on the Microsoft Speech Server (MSS) CD.
These add-ins allow their respective browser to recognize Speech Application Language Tags (SALT) and execute speech-enabled Web applications. Highlighted features shared by both add-ins are outlined below.

SALT 1.0 Support
The SASDK supports SALT 1.0. SALT extends HTML and other markup languages with tags and scriptable objects to perform voice output, spoken-language input, telephony management, and messaging. For more information, see SALT Programmer's Reference in the SASDK Help documentation.Audio Meter
The Audio Meter, which is similar to the display on a stereo equalizer, provides visual feedback of the volume level of audio input in multimodal applications.
