DaySemanticItem Property for French (Canada)

Gets or sets the ID of the SemanticItem control that receives the day value. Read/write.

Usage

ASP.NET markup: <speech:Date DaySemanticItem="..." />
Get value: String = Date.DaySemanticItem;
Set value: Date.DaySemanticItem = String;
Data type: String
Required: Yes

Remarks

The control throws an ArgumentNullException if this property is not specified, or it throws an ArgumentException if this property does not specify a valid SemanticItem on the page.

Attribute data

When the Date control has collected a date successfully, it places the following attributes in the DaySemanticItem property.

Attribute Name Data Element
spokenText The complete text of the date spoken by the user
assumed True if the day is assumed or derived;
false if the day is explicit.

Application authors can reference SemanticItem attribute data by means of the GetAttribute method of the client-side SemanticItem object.
