Passport Manager Installation Problems

Passport Manager Installation Problems

During development, the Microsoft® .NET Passport Software Development Kit (SDK) must be installed on the Web server that is hosting your .NET Passport Web site in order to use .NET Passport single sign-in (SSI). Installing the .NET Passport SDK installs the Passport Manager.

The sample .NET Passport Web site pages are not working correctly.

If you are not able to view the sample .NET Passport Web site pages or the .NET Passport Web site pages do not work correctly after you install the .NET Passport SDK, check the following details:

  • Does your server meet the hardware requirements?

  • Is your Microsoft® Internet Information Services (IIS) default Web site currently running? Can you view the default page of your server https://127.0.0.1?

  • Is your server running the correct server software?

  • Did you choose a .NET Passport SDK installation option that includes the sample Web site pages?

Options such as Production may not install the sample sites.

If you still have not solved your problem, see .NET Passport Single Sign-In Problems.
