Assemble to Order Field, Warehouse Activity Line Table
Specifies that the inventory pick line is for assembly items that are assembled to a sales order before being shipped.
The warehouse worker who handles this type of warehouse shipment line performs the required assembly work. This work is managed by the assembly order that is linked to the sales order that is being shipped. The worker must record how many items are actually assembled and being shipped in the Qty. to Handle field on the inventory pick line. For more information, see “Handling Assemble-to-Order Items in Inventory Picks” in Inventory Pick.
Additional Information
On inventory pick lines for assemble-to-order quantities, the value in the Quantity field equals the value in the Quantity to Assemble field on the assembly order that is linked to the sales order.
If the sales line quantity is a combination of assemble-to-order quantities and inventory quantities, then the inventory pick for that sales order line contains the following lines:
One line for the assemble-to-order quantity.
At least one line for the inventory quantity. This depends on where the quantity is available.
In that case, the Assemble to Order field is selected on the inventory pick line for the assemble-to-order quantity.
For more information about combination scenarios, see Assemble to Order or Assemble to Stock.
