Specifies information about the cross-dock opportunities that were available when the cross-dock calculation was last performed.
If you have set up your warehouse for cross-dock opportunities, entries are created in the Whse. Cross-Dock Opportunity table when a cross-dock calculation is performed or refreshed. For more information, see How to: Cross-Dock Items.
Entries in the table exist until you calculate or refresh cross-docks again or post the warehouse receipt for which you have calculated them. All outbound requests are included in the calculation, both shipments and production orders with a planned shipment date or due date within the period defined for the cross-dock calculation. However, outbound request lines for pick lines that have already been created are not included in the cross-dock calculation.
You define the calculation period in the Cross-Dock Due Date Calc. field on the location card. This calculation uses the due date in the Due Date field in the Cross-Dock Opportunities window.
The cross-dock opportunity lines reflect the outbound request situation at the time of calculation only. If a pick is created or an outbound request line concerning the item is released after you calculate cross-docks, the cross-dock opportunity lines are not updated. You can run the Refresh Cross-Dock Opportunities function to get the latest information about cross-dock opportunities.
