Qty. to Asm. to Order (Base) Field, Sales Line Table
Specifies how many units of the sales line quantity that you want to supply by assembly. The units are expressed in the base unit of measure.
If the assembly item on the sales order line is set up to be assembled to order, then a linked assembly order header is automatically created, and the value in this field reflects the value in the Quantity (Base) field on that linked assembly order header.
You define an item’s assembly process in the Assembly Policy field on the item card of the assembly item.
Note
It is only relevant to modify this field when a part of the quantity on the sales order line is available in inventory and you want to supply the remaining quantity by assembly. For more information, see How to: Sell Assemble-to-Order Items Along with Inventory Quantities.
