Contract Type Field, Service Contract Line Table

Contains the type of the contract. There are two options: Contract or Quote.

Contract shall mean an agreement made between your company and the customer, specifying the coverage and the terms of the service obligation.
Quote is a forerunner to a service contract. With a quote, your company makes an offer to the customer. The quote needs customer approval before being converted into a service contract.
