User ID Field, Outlook Synch. User Setup Table
Specifies the ID of a user who uses the Windows Server Authentication to log on to Microsoft Dynamics NAV to access the current database. In Microsoft Dynamics NAV the user ID consists of only a user name.
Important
In Outlook the user ID consists of the domain name and the user name. When during synchronization Outlook sends the user name to Microsoft Dynamics NAV, it truncates the domain name, and Microsoft Dynamics NAV receives only the user name. Therefore if two users work each with his Outlook client with the same name but within different domains, in Microsoft Dynamics NAV it will be one person. This situation is valid only if talking of synchronizing Microsoft Dynamics NAV records and Outlook items.
