Upgrading to Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2015

This section describes how to upgrade from Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 or Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 R2 to Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2015. If you have an earlier version, such as Microsoft Dynamics NAV 5.0 or Microsoft Dynamics NAV 4.0, you must first upgrade that version to Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013. You can upgrade from Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 SP1 or Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 R2 to Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2015 Cumulative Update 1 and later. To upgrade to Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2015, you must complete the following main steps:

Important

If you upgrade from Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 R2 or earlier, the link between interaction records and logged email messages is lost. To resolve this issue, the administrator has to log all mails again to restore the links.
