Contains cost journal lines that appear when you open a cost journal in cost accounting. In the cost journal, you can post entries that neither come from general ledger nor are automatically generated by allocations. For example, you can post pure cost entries and internal charges between cost centers. You can also make manual allocations and corrective entries between cost types, cost centers, and cost objects.
There are three levels under the cost journal menu items: cost journal templates, cost journal batches and cost journal lines. This lets you use different journals that are suited to different tasks. You can have several journals of the same type. For example, every employee can have his or her own journal.
For more information about journal templates, journal batches and journal lines, see Gen. Journal Line.
