PayrollEarningCodeDetail::findByEarningCode Method

Finds the specified record in the PayrollEarningCodeDetail table.

• _earningCode
  Type: PayrollEarningCodeRecId Extended Data Type
  The value of the EarningCode field of the record to find.

• _validFrom
  Type: ValidFromDate Extended Data Type
  The value of the ValidFrom field.

• _validTo
  Type: ValidToDate Extended Data Type
  The value of the ValidTo field.

• _forUpdate
  Type: boolean
  A Boolean value that indicates whether to read the record for update; optional.

• _concurrencyModel
  Type: ConcurrencyModel Enumeration
  The concurrency model option to use when the record is read; optional.

Return Value

Type: PayrollEarningCodeDetail Table
One or more records in the PayrollEarningCodeDetail table; otherwise, an empty buffer.

Remarks

Values for the validFrom and validTo fields limit the table selection in the following ways:

1. If no value is supplied for either parameter, the current date is used for both. Therefore, the method searches for only active records, and returns either an empty record or a valid record.

2. If a value is supplied only for the first parameter, the same value is used for the second parameter. The method searches for active records as of the supplied date, and returns either an empty record or a valid record.

3. If values are supplied for both parameters, the method searches for records that have values in the validFrom and ValidTo fields that fall in the interval. The method might return multiple records.
