(DEU) XBRL Setup Wizard

Use the XBRL Setup Wizard to select a taxonomy and specify identification information for a new or existing XBRL entity.

XBRL Setup Wizard

  1. To open the XBRL Setup Wizard, you must be in the dialog box to add, modify, or copy (Save As) an XBRL entity. Click the Define button next to the Taxonomy field to open the XBRL Setup Wizard.

  2. On the Select Taxonomy page, select the taxonomy regulated by the authority where you submit your financial reports, and then select a version of the taxonomy. The filing authority, its web site, and the taxonomy release date are then listed. Click Next.

  3. On the Select entry points page, select the entry point for the taxonomy that you selected on the Select Taxonomy page. When you select an entry point, its description and taxonomy location are shown below the Entry point field. Click Next.

  4. On the Define filing information page, enter the following:

    • In the Data provider information field, enter information about the supplier of the data such as company, contact, telephone, email address, place, postcode, street, and country. There is a limit of 256 characters.

    • In the Tax office number field, enter the federal tax office number for your company.

    • In the Filing certificate field, enter the path to the file containing the certificate. Click Browse to browse for the file. For more information about filing certificates, see ElsterWeb.

    • The Global Common Data check box is checked by default. It is based on the taxonomy selected in the XBRL Setup Wizard and is required for German XBRL instance document submission.

    Click Next.

  5. On the Identify company page, enter your company name and VAT registration number, and then click Next.

  6. On the Define namespace page, you can use the information shown in the Namespace identifier and Prefix fields that has been generated automatically for the selected taxonomy, or enter a custom namespace identifier and prefix. The namespace must be in the form of a web address, although it does not have to be valid.

    Note

When a report is generated that uses this XBRL taxonomy, the report date used in the instance document is added to the end of the namespace so it is unique each time you submit it to be filed with the authorities.

  7. Click Finish.
