_GlobalToLocalP( ) API Library Routine

Translates a point in screen-relative pixel coordinates to window-relative pixel coordinates.

void _GlobalToLocalP(Point FAR *pt, WHANDLE wh)
Point FAR *pt; /* Point. */
WHANDLE wh; /* Window handle. */

Remarks

Before calling _GlobalToLocalP( ), call _FindWindow( ) to determine which window owns the point.

For more information on how to create an API library and integrate it with Visual FoxPro, see Accessing the Visual FoxPro API.

Example

The following example waits for a left mouse button click and then uses _FindWindowP( ) to get the window handle for the mouse position. _GlobalToLocalP( ) takes the window handle and the absolute mouse position as parameters, and returns the mouse position to a position relative to the window.
