Description

The Clear-FileStorageTier cmdlet unpins a file from the specified storage tier. If you unpin a file, it can move between tiers as appropriate for how often the file is accessed. You can pin, or add, a file to a storage tier by using the Set-FileStorageTier cmdlet.

Examples

Example 1: Remove a file from a storage tier

PS C:\> Clear-FileStorageTier -FilePath "D:\DataFile06.txt"

This command removes the file D:\DataFile06.txt from a storage tier.
